1-When should I begin my post-operative rehabilitation?
Answer: Ideally, you should begin between 24 and 48 hours after surgery. Although many surgeons don’t recommend lymphatic drainage, in our experience and knowledge, it is vital for recovery. At Gloria Arenas Spa, we work in the earliest stages to manage inflammation and prevent collagen breakdown from day one.
2-Does lymphatic drainage have to be painful?
Answer: Absolutely not. At our center, we follow science, not trauma. Professional lymphatic drainage is a gentle and rhythmic technique. If it hurts, it’s not drainage, it’s aggression. We respect your nerve endings and treat allodynia (extreme sensitivity) with neurological desensitization.
3-Why don’t they drain through the cannula holes?
Answer: Because we respect your biosecurity. Opening surgical incisions increases the risk of infection and widens scars. Our Healing Hands method uses your body’s natural lymphatic pathways to reabsorb the fluid internally, allowing your incisions to close aesthetically and safely.
4-I already have fibrosis, can I still receive treatment at Gloria Arenas Spa?
Answer: Yes. We specialize in tissue regeneration. Using thixotropy and mechanotransduction techniques, we work on hardened collagen to try to restore elasticity and smoothness to your skin, even weeks or months after surgery.
